Senior Fellow

American Statecraft Program

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a premier international affairs research institute with offices in Washington, Beijing, Beirut, Brussels, Moscow, and New Delhi, is seeking a specialist in great power geopolitics to join its American Statecraft Program as a senior fellow.

The senior fellow will carry out in-depth, policy relevant research and writing on the geopolitical dynamics of relations between China, the European Union, Russia, and the United States, including how different military, economic, technological, or other factors are shaping these relationships. The scholar may have a background in one of the major power centers or a relevant functional field, such as political economy, military relations, or technology trends. The scholar will be part of an expanding team in the Statecraft Program and be expected to participate actively in the program and to collaborate with Carnegie regional scholars across Carnegie's global network.

Preferred candidates will have a PhD or the equivalent, at least 8 years of professional experience, and a record of notable publications, speaking engagements, and significant engagement with relevant policy communities. Relevant government experience is a plus.

The Statecraft Program is located in Washington, DC, but we will consider applicants located anywhere in the world. Please apply via the Carnegie Endowment website.
