The Carnegie Middle East Center (CMEC) is seeking a translation intern in Beirut to work for three to six months on a full-time basis in the Arabic Publications department.

The position entails proofreading and translating texts from English to Arabic and learning about the design and printing process of Carnegie papers.

The ideal candidate should hold a BA in translation, as well as possess some knowledge of international affairs and Middle Eastern politics, and be eager to undergo a training period in the field of translation.

The position requires native or near-native level Arabic and English, and excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet).

The position is unpaid; a monthly stipend is provided for transportation expenses.
