Research Analyst

Cyber Policy Initiative

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India, and the United States, is seeking a full-time Research Analyst to work with scholars in our Washington, DC-based Cyber Policy Initiative on a research project focusing on cybersecurity and the financial system.

The Research Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the development of an international strategy for cybersecurity and the financial system; providing substantive feedback on the project design and methodology; identifying and contacting potential interviewees; assisting with the development of interview questions and tools; conducting interviews with policymakers and practitioners; helping to plan and organize a workshop with practitioners; and providing additional research, writing and editing support to the project. 

The ideal candidate will have one-to-two years of experience and a Master's degree in political science, international relations, cybersecurity, financial markets, or a similar related field with a strong background and interest in tech policy and the financial system. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and significant experience will also be considered. Strong writing and research skills are essential, including a background in social science, cybersecurity policy, or financial markets research.
